MP for Keighley & Ilkley
  • MP

Robbie believes that people want to see more MP’s in Parliament who have had real life experience, been involved in business and are not afraid of rolling up their sleeves and getting on with the job.

With a business background, Robbie is from a farming family which in 2007 set up a plastics recycling business that has now grown to consist of a national network of franchises collecting and recycling a vast range of farm plastic waste. Robbie is also qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor and having worked for a firm of rural surveyors for the last 10 years; Robbie now operates his own consultancy practice with a team of six people. Robbie enjoys helping client's problem solve and to manage business interests for future growth.

Robbie is passionate about ensuring everyone has opportunities in life. Campaigning for a better community which works for all is at the heart of what Robbie is about. With experience in local government and as a strong and effective campaigner, Robbie is determined to secure a better deal for all living and working within the Keighley and Ilkley constituency. This starts with ensuring that we have a strong local economy and job market offering coupled with great local services, brilliant schools and an excellent local NHS.

Robbie has worked hard for a variety of charitable causes, which has included being involved in a loneliness programme which provided a ‘buddy service’ for those with learning difficulties aged from mid-teens to early twenties, and provided assistance on an unemployment programme which was specifically designed to empower people with confidence to enter the work place.

With enthusiasm, energy and commitment, Robbie looks forward to being an effective champion for Keighley and Ilkley and will focus on delivering the changes and improvements needed to make life, society and social wellbeing more prosperous for all.
